WYF proves importance of youths role in region: UAE Youth Min.

CAIRO - 5 November 2018: Shamma Al Mazrui, the UAE’s Minister of Youth, tweeted on Sunday a photo with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi at the 2nd edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF).


“It was a pleasure meeting His Excellency President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during out participation at the World Youth Forum,” Al Mazrui posted on her official Twitter page. “Such congregation stresses the importance of the role played by Arab youths in developing our nations, and the trust that Arab leaders put in them.”




The first edition of the World Youth Forum was launched in Nov. 2017 in Sharm el-Sheikh. It was attended by 3,200 participants from 113 countries, this year, more than 5,000 young participants from around 163 countries took part at the event.


In earlier statements, the Emirati minister said the UAE is proud of its experience in empowering women and youths by supporting them, their rights and the chance of drawing a better future.


She also pointed out that around 65 percent of the UAE’s federal government are women in leadership positions.


During her speech at the WYF, she said that Emirati youths at official leadership positions are doing an effective work and are always able to support the youth.
