CAIRO - 1 October 2018: A Palestinian committee, affiliated to the Arab Parliament (AP), convened on Monday in Cairo to discuss means of helping UNRWA to resume services for Palestinian refugees.

The meeting was held under AP Chairman Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami and attended by Member of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee Azzam al Ahmad.

It aims at discussing repercussions of a US decision to cut off funding for UNRWA.

On Tuesday, the four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament will convene to discuss a proposed legislation to achieve food security in the Arab world as well as "pore" project to clear mines in Yemen.
