AL chief stresses importance of supporting Arab countries in attaining SDGs

CAIRO - 30 September 2018: Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit met with the Head of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Achim Steiner to promote cooperation between the pan-Wrab body and the UNDP especially in achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The spokesman for the Arab League secretary general Mahmoud Affifi said in a press release on Sunday that the meeting comes on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Abul Ghiet stressed the importance of the technical and financing support offered by the UNDP to the activities organized by the AL in the fields related to sustainable development.
