NEW YORK - 25 September 2018: Mohamed Abul Enein, Honorary President of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, has screened a documentary about the achievements made in Egypt since President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi took office in 2014.

The documentary's display was on the sidelines of the 73rd UN General Assembly meetings, currently held .

Abul Enein spoke highly of Sisi's initiative to fight terrorism and extremism and his call for Al Azhar to correct the religious discourse.

Firm legislation should be issued to prevent any confusion between freedom of expression and incitement against Muslims, he stressed.

Abul Enein added that Egypt has successfully acted to uproot terrorism in Sinai and bring life back to normal in the peninsula after the eradication of remnants of the terrorists and chasing them out.

He urged the UN to punish countries that sponsor and fund terrorism, and refer their leaders to the International Criminal Court.

Abul Enein reiterated Egypt's vision that the toppling of Middle East countries has helped create a favorable environment for terrorism.
