Egypt will always support Egyptians everywhere - Immigration min.

CAIRO – 9 September 2018: Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram asserted on Sunday that the government will always support Egyptians everywhere.

In statements, the minister hailed the Kuwaiti authorities’ efforts after an Egyptian national, Wahid el Refaie, was assaulted in Kuwait last year.

She lauded Kuwaiti authorities and judiciary as well as Kuwaiti citizens who supported Refaie.

The minister also held a phone call with Refaie’s spouse and congratulated her and her family after a Kuwaiti court ordered to release Refaie and detain the Kuwaiti young man, 17, who assaulted Refaie.

Meanwhile, Kuwait lawyer Musaed al Zamil, who was assigned by the Egyptian government to defend Refaie, thanked and hailed Makram over her efforts and visit to Refaie after being assaulted.

Zamil also pointed out at the deep-rooted relations between the Egyptian and Kuwaiti people.
