CAIRO - 28 August 2018: A Sudanese delegation arrived in Cairo earlier Tuesday to attend a ministerial committee with Egypt.

The talks, which are set to take place on Wednesday, are meant to prepare for a higher joint committee meeting and a presidential summit due to take place in Khartoum in October.

The ministerial committee will probe cooperation between Egypt and Sudan, particularly in the field of tourism.

During the five months, Egypt recorded a trade surplus with 14 Arab countries, including Sudan, and five foreign countries.

On Aug. 8, a Sudanese ministerial committee arrived from Khartoum to take part in joint Egyptian-Sudanese meetings, where talks touched increase in military cooperation between both nations.

Cooperation and meetings between Egypt and Sudan are generally taking place, often due to common interests, geographic locations and a shared River Nile.

In mid-July, Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi visited Sudan to discuss bilateral ties. Both countries agreed to work on promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
