ADDIS ABABA - 28 August 2018: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and intelligence service chief Abbas Kamel met on Tuesday here with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

The two visiting Egyptian officials are carrying a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Ethiopian premier.

The message touches on means of boosting bilateral relations and implementing what has been agreed upon by the leaderships of the two countries along with the recent developments of the Ethiopian renaissance dam.

The message also takes up regional issues of common concern.

The Egyptian delegation expressed keenness of Egypt to enhance bilateral relations in all domains to be up to the level of expectations of the peoples of the two countries.

The two sides meanwhile confirmed their keenness on activating a three-way fund for funding development and investment projects between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan and increasing trade exchange between Egypt and Ethiopia.

The meeting also took up preparations for a meeting between the Egyptian president and Ethiopian PM on the sidelines of China-Africa Forum that will be held in Beijing early next month.
