CAIRO - 21 July 2018: A senior lawmaker urged on Saturday the Arab nations to remain united in face of the Israeli occupation crimes and fully support the Palestinian cause.

Saad el Gammal, the parliament's Arab affairs committee head, was delivering a speech on behalf of the Egyptian House of Representatives during an extraordinary meeting of the Arab parliaments' speakers on the sidelines of the 28th session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, currently held in Cairo.

Gammal called on the Arab parliaments and organizations to defend the Palestinian issue and urged all states not to move their embassies to Jerusalem.

The Palestinian lands are being violated everyday by the Israeli forces and settlers amid international silence, the last of which was the law passed by the Israeli Knesset declaring Israel as the historic homeland of the Jewish people, the MP noted.

The Israeli flagrant actions won't settle the conflict with Palestine but they will fuel it, Gammal said.
