CAIRO - 21 July 2018: The representatives of the Arab parliaments participating in the 28th extraordinary session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) stressed the importance of coordinating stances and addressing international legislatures to support the Palestinian cause.

Deputy Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Mohammed Ali al Shadadi said the Palestinian people remain steadfast in the face of the massacres committed by Israeli occupation, reiterating his country's rejection of the decision made by the US to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem.

Shadadi stressed the need for acting at the international level so as to establish an independent Palestinian state with Al Quds (occupied east Jerusalem) as its capital.

The Palestinian cause tops the Arab and Islamic issues despite the hard conditions in Yemen, Shadadi underscored.

During the session held at the Egyptian Parliament's premises, First Deputy Speaker of the UAE's Federal National Council Marwan bin Ghalita held Israel responsible for violations committed against the Palestinians.

He further demanded rallying efforts to reach a fair and permanent solution to the Palestinian cause.
