CAIRO, June 29 (MENA) - Germany's Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affair Niels Annen stressed that his country counts on Egypt in achieving stability in the region.

In statements to MENA after his meeting with House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal, the German official described their talks as very fruitful.

"We discussed all issues related to bilateral relations, along with making all frameworks of future Egyptian-German cooperation crystal clear," Annen added.

"We are closely following up Egypt's economic and political reform steps."

The minister praised reform steps adopted by Egypt, noting that the stability of the north African country can bring stability to the region.

Egypt is a strategic partner for Germany and a pillar of Middle East stability, the minister added.
