CAIRO – 16 May 2017: A parliamentary delegation, headed by Speaker Dr. Ali Abdel Aal, flies Tuesday to Japan in an official visit for five days.

The Japanese National Diet (parliament) sent earlier an official invitation to its Egyptian counterpart to discuss a number of issues on several levels related to the economy, agriculture, tourism and fighting terrorism. The delegation seeks cooperation with Japan in mainly four fields: education, tourism, technology and investment.

Eight parliamentarians travel with Abdel Aal to Japan; the delegation is supposed to hold a meeting with the Egyptian Japanese Friendship Association chief. The delegation will also visit Japan’s cultural city Kyoto.
