CAIRO – 8 May 2018: The common Ministerial committee between Egypt and Uganda concluded its activities Monday, the final meeting included Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Ugandan counterpart Sam Kahamba Kutesa alongside several officials in both governments.

A series of meetings between both States’ officials had preceded the Ministerial encounter on Monday to boost the bilateral relations between both countries.

Shoukry also stressed Egypt's commitment to enhance cooperation with the African neighbor, calling for a comprehensive cooperation among the Nile Basin countries.

The joint committee discussed ways of expanding cooperation with Egypt in various fields, including politics, economy, trade, energy, electricity, water resources, transportation and tourism, noted Shoukry.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is expected to visit Egypt on Tuesday, May 8 per President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s invitation, Uganda's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sam Kahamba Kutesa announced on Monday.
