KUWAIT CITY - 7 May 2018: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Subeeh Al Mukhaizeem revealed on Monday that 20,000 Kuwaiti students are studying at Egyptian universities and institutes.

In statements to MENA on the sidelines of the Kuwait education forum, he said that 70,000 are studying at various universities while 13,000 others are receiving postgraduate education.

On the possibility of opening branches for Egyptian universities in Kuwait, he said Kuwait has no objection to the matter but this depends on the conditions set by the special universities council in Kuwait.

The Kuwait Education Forum opened its first session here on Monday in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.

Themed "Learning is a Lifelong Journey”, the three-day forum stresses that education forwards a highest message to develop all walks of life and has an effective role in preparing new generations of youth who can meet aspirations of their countries, said Al Mukhaizeem in an address, delivered on his behalf by Hamed Al Aazmi, the Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education.
