CAIRO – 4 May 2018: Egypt's Meteorological Authority predicted temperatures to be very high in Egypt on Friday. Weather will be moderate in northwesterly coasts of the country and hot in the northeasterly coasts, with a slight decline in temperatures during the night.

Winds are mild southwesterly in Cairo and Lower Egypt; sandy winds are active in the Red Sea and the Gulf of the Suez which may cause navigation disturbance.

Low- and medium-level cloud cover is predicted for the north, with chances for rainfall on Western coasts and until Lower Egypt.

The temperature is expected to reach 39°C in Cairo and 26°C in the coastal city of Alexandria.

Suez and Ismailia are set to see their weather at 40°C and Aswan is to expect a high of 44°C.

Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada are expected to see temperatures of 34-33°C, while Minya’s temperature will probably rise to 38°C .

As for Saturday, the temperature will decline up to five degrees, and by Sunday it will be 30°C, Head of Egypt's Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdel-al said in a phone interview with “Manshet” TV program on Thursday.
