RAMALLAH - 2 May 2018: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has asserted that his country will not be relocating its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Al Quds.

Abe's assertion came during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas in Ramallah on Tuesday where he also reiterated support for any endeavors to achieve peace in the Middle East and establish an independent Palestinian state within the framework of the two-state solution, according to the Palestinian official news agency Wafa.

Abe is currently on a Middle East tour and is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday.
