CAIRO – 26 April 2018: All Egyptian governorates witnessed Wednesday intensive security existence around vital public facilities and worship houses. All of the governorates’ Security Directorates were keen to conduct security checkpoints to enforce traffic laws and public safety.

The security precautionary measures came as part of the ongoing campaign to eradicate terrorism in Egypt. Security patrols were set to roam all the vital squares, crossroads and border crossings between all Egypt’s 28 governorates.

Civil defense personnel and bomb disposal experts combed vital public facilities and made sure surrounding surveillance cameras are operated to spot any ongoing incident. Heavy armed Rapid Deployment Forces were alerted to move in case any threat is spotted.

ISIS spokesperson Abu Hassan al-Muhajir released a voice recording Sunday in which he threatened attacks in several Arab nations, included Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and others.

Al- Muhajir urged ISIS followers to plot attacks against security forces in countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
