Egypt, Cyprus hold talks on level of FMs on Tuesday

CAIRO - 8 April 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will hold Tuesday talks with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides, who is currently visiting Cairo.

The meeting is expected to touch on the unique relations between Cairo and Nicosia and ways of promoting them in different domains as well as shoring up the work of the tripartite cooperation mechanism involving Egypt, Cyprus and Greece.

Security issues of common interest, developments in Syria and Palestine and countering terrorism would also be subject of discussion.

A joint press conference will be held at the conclusion of talks.

Christodoulides' visit to Egypt is his second since taking office as foreign minister in February
