CAIRO - 7 April 2018: Cairo security chief Khaled Abdel Aal checked on troops in charge of securing churches during the Easter celebrations.

Abdel Aal inspected Saturday security services outside Abbasiya's St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral and several others churches across the capital.

Bomb experts combed areas around the churches continuously to achieve the highest degree of security.

The move comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Cairo security directorate to secure places of worship as well as the vital institutions upon directives from Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.
