GCC, UN chief mull counter-terrorism efforts

CAIRO – 4 April 2018: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif Rashid Al-Zayani met in Geneva Tuesday with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the High-level International Conference in Support of the Yemen Relief Response 2018, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting discussed the political and security situation in the region, including the crisis in Yemen, the situation in Syria and the international efforts to combat terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations Abdul Aziz bin Hamad Al-Owaishek and a number of senior officials.
