Egypt condemns Israeli violence against Palestinians

CAIRO - 31 March 2018: Egypt condemned the use of violence by Isralei security forces against unarmed Palestinian civilians during a peaceful march went out to celebrate the anniversary of Land Day.

Israeli forces killed at least 16 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, according to Palestinian reports.

Egypt announced its full support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Egypt’s Foreign Ministry demanded the international community to bear its responsibilities towards the Palestinian cause, in a statement issued on Friday.

“Egypt is calling the international community to implement the relevant UN resolutions,” the statement read.

The Egyptian ministry said that the Land Day reminds all of us of the need to work hard to reach a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue. Egypt warned of the danger of not resuming the peace process and reaching a fair solution to the cause.

More than 1,000 demonstrators have been wounded during the Friday maches. Moreover, an Israeli tank shot dead a farmer and wounded another from Gaza.
