Mufti condemns Palestinian PM assassination attempt

CAIRO - 14 March 2018: Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawqy Allam vehemently condemned an attempt on the life of Palestinian Prime Minister Ramy al Hamdallah.

In a statement on Wednesday, Allam said the attack is meant to foment sedition among the Palestinians.

The Palestinians are in need to join hands to defend Al Quds and the Aqsa Mosque, he said.

He called on the Palestinians to proceed with the reconciliation deal.

Azhar has also deplored the attack and urged Palestinian unity.
