CAIRO – 22 February 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s campaign held a press conference on Thursday to announce the details of Sisi’s electoral program.

During the press conference, the campaign featured a video titled “A Tale of a Homeland” to review the achievements made during Sisi’s four-year tenure. Egypt Today presents a wrap-up of the main themes tackled during the conference.

The National Election Authority (NEA) has officially announced the official slate for the presidential election, which included the incumbent President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and al-Ghad’s Moussa Moustafa Moussa.

On January 25, Chairperson of El-Ghad Party, Moussa Mostafa Moussa, announced that he would run for the upcoming presidency election scheduled to be held by the end of March.

Moussa received endorsements from 20 Members of Parliament- the majority of them represent Monufia Governorate- in order to announce his official Presidential bid.

According to the election’s timetable set by the NEA, on January 8, voting in the 2018 presidential election in Egypt will commence on March 26.

Sixty million eligible voters will cast their ballots in the election between March 26 and 28 in Egypt, while Egyptians living abroad will vote between March 16 and 18.
