 On April 24, the Global Voice Hall (GVH) , a free membership-operated web-based social news platform, will be holding its first forum in the region at the American University in Cairo.You can sign up, for free, to GVH and stream the event on their website. You can also take part in the economic and political debates that will be discussed with renowned journalists, bloggers and activists, engage with them and post your questions online.Cairo-based reporter for Al Jazeera English, Rawyah Rageh, will moderate the debate and make sure the live studio audience as well as the online audience questions would reach the panelists. The forum will include renowned speakers such as Sultan Al Qassemi, columnist for The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi, as well as prominent blogger and activist Alaa AbdelFattah. The panel will also include a member of the Freedom and Justice Party and a military and legal expert, names of whom will be announced soon. “Our region demonstrates an unparalleled opportunity for change. The Cairo forum, our first of a series of ongoing events that will be held in Libya, Tunisia and other Arab countries over the next few months, stated Sylvia Schoonderbeek, GVH’s Regional Marketing Manager, in a press release. “[The Cairo forum] will capitalize on that need for change by providing members with a medium that enables them to exchange views in an environment of peace, security and freedom of expression.” So get ready to engage in a heated debate at this unique forum and the first of its kind in the region by signing up on the Global Voice Hall’s website.
