Sisi to visit Saudi Arabia Sunday: Presidency

CAIRO – 21 April 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will head to Saudi Arabia on Sunday at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Egyptian presidency said in a Friday statement.

The two leaders will hold a summit meeting to discuss means of boosting the strategic ties binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia and to coordinate on various regional issues of mutual concern, atop of which is combating terrorism that threatens the security and stability of the Arab World and the international community.

The visit comes within the framework of the two sides’ keenness to continue joint coordination, in a way that contributes to fostering distinctive relations between Cairo and Riyadh, the presidency noted.
