It was added that officials inside the Cairo International Airport also received similar notifications from Kuwait and Saudi Arabian airports about delaying two air flights due to the bad weather of the “arrival state of destination” (Egypt).

“Despite the bad weather, the air traffic is still relatively regulated. The takeoff and landing processes were not affected by the rain or fog,” the sources added.
A special operation room was reported to follow up on the weather updates and its effect on the air flights movement.

Alexandria has been hit by a noticeable drop in temperature, high wind velocity and gale-force waves.

Due to heavy rains across Egypt, General Directorate of Traffic (GDT) has deployed traffic relief cars on the roads to help citizens in case of traffic accidents.

Heavy rains caused flooding and closure of El Tagamoa’s roads, leading to traffic congestion. Besides, traffic police officers have closed off the October Bridge to keep the cars from slipping due to the accumulation of rainwater in some areas.
