RAMALLAH - 24 December 2017: Israeli occupation forces closed the northern entrance to the cities of Ramallah and al Bira in the occupied West Bank for security reasons.

The closure comes in the wake of protests and confrontations that have been going on for two weeks now in several West Bank cities following US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize al Quds as the capital of Israel.

That entrance is considered one of the major streets that connect cities in the central West Bank with the northern West Bank.

Six Palestinians were, meanwhile, injured in clashes with occupation troops in Madma village in the south of Nablus Saturday.

A peaceful rally outside the northern entrance to Bethlehem city was dispersed by Israeli rubber bullets and gas bombs yesterday as well.
