CAIRO - 14 December 2017: Egypt's ambassador to Ghana Mohamed Heidar asserted on Wednesday the importance of a visit currently paid by Ghana's Aviation Minister Cecilia Dapaah to Egypt.

The visit comes within the framework of mutual contacts between Egypt and the African country, Heidar was quoted by a press release issued by the foreign ministry as saying.

He pointed to Dapaah's participation in a regional conference on aviation in Sharm ElSheikh in August.

Heidar said that further cooperation could be achieved with Ghana in light of Egypt's expertise in this field.

Ghana is also important for Egypt as it is considered the gate for air transport to western Africa, added the diplomat.

Dapaah is heading a high-profile delegation at the invitation from her counterpart Sherif Fathi.
