CAIRO - 12 December 2017: The Chaldean Patriarchate said that the United States, as a major power, should seek to achieve peace and justice in the world to stop wars and conflicts, slamming recent US decision over Jerusalem.

According to a statement released Tuesday, the patriarchate called on the US administration to respect the resolutions of the United Nations over the status of Jerusalem and rescind its serious decision which could engulf the region in more conflicts.

"We are asking for resolving the disputes through diplomatic channels and legal ways without resorting to violence." the statement added.
