CAIRO - 11 December 2017: Former Foreign Minister Mohamed el Orabi said that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has taken several wise steps to enhance Egyptian-African relations at all levels.

He underlined that Egypt works on developing its stance and the African role via its soft powers.

This came during his speech at the symposium organized by the Egyptian parliamentary training institute at the Parliament on Monday.

The symposium, entitled "The Egyptian foreign policy towards Africa", was attended by the head of the parliament's African affairs committee el Sayed Feleifel as well as number of MPs.

Orabi refuted that Egypt lost its stance in Africa, adding that the country offers its scientific expertise in various fields to the continent.

The African continent attracts now many countries to do business worth billions of dollars, he asserted, adding that Egypt should intensify efforts of investment in Africa.

Sisi enhanced the Egyptian-African ties via paying visits to a number of African countries and organizing "Africa 2017" forum in Sharm el Sheikh, besides hosting African youths during World Youth Forum.
