CAIRO - 7 March 2017: Eman Ahmed, a 36-year-old Egyptian woman named the “world’s heaviest person,” is soon to lose her title as she already lost a whopping 120kg in three weeks, the

Times of India reported

.

A prescribed liquid diet and some physiotherapy helped Ahmed reduce her weight by getting rid of extra water in her body, which weighed over 480kg when her treatment began.

Ahmed is being treated at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai and will be return home to Egypt’s Mediterranean city of Alexandria after her first sleeve bariatric surgery, where she will be kept under observation until her next procedure.

Ahmed reached the hospital in a specially-made truck, and now, for the first time in 25 years, she is able to sit up and down on her own.

Initially, doctors expected her to lose 2kg per day for the first 25 days in her stay at the hospital, which would have totaled around a 50kg loss in that period. Instead, she lost 120kg.

Doctors are tracking Ahmed’s weight loss through a scale built into her hospital bed. Her surgeon, Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala, is expecting her genetic report by the end of this week to prepare her for the surgery.

Ahmed received wide support when a crowd funding campaign for her case was raised about Rs 1,900,000 (around $89,975), according to
