CAIRO – 28 November 2017: Experts from National Interest have envisioned the consequences of a virtual North Korean strike on Los Angeles, using a special program of a U.S. institute.
Those experts used a program developed by Stevens Institute for Technology. To analyze such a virtual disaster, the experts chose a bomb of 250 kilos tons of TNT.
According to the study, more than 1 million people would be affected by such a blast in the city center, killing 378,000 people and injuring 860,000 others.
Most of the buildings would be destroyed within a radius of five kilometers from the center of the blast, and the chances of residents’ survival in that area would be zero.
People would suffer third-degree burns in an area of 150 square kilometers within a radius of seven kilometers from the epicenter of the blast, while the diameter of the fire ball would burst thousands of meters.
Relations between Washington and Pyongyang have been strained over North Korea's nuclear and missile tests. Trump was threatening to wipe out North Korea if it posed a threat to the United States.
