CAIRO – 25 November 2017: Global search engine Google placed a black ribbon on its homepage in tribute to the lives that were perished in Friday’s terrorist attack that targeted worshippers at Rawdah Mosque, west of Arish.

The world has come out in support of Egypt’s bitter, prolonged war against terrorism and extremist terror attacks within the country. Most recently, the brutal attack that targeted worshipers during Friday prayer in Arish’s Rawdah Mosque, which resulted in killing over 200 people and injured dozens on Friday, November 24.

A group of 15 armed terrorists broke into Al-Rawdah Mosque in Arish City, leaving at least 235 dead and 125 injured.

According to eye witnesses, the terrorists came out initially riding two all-terrain vehicles, which they ditched 150 meters away from the crime scene. They detonated a bomb outside the mosque, and then opened fire at panicked prayers.
