Egypt, Ethiopia, Somalia discuss cooperation in youth, sports fields

SHARM EL SHEIKH – 8 November 2017: Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdelaziz on Wednesday met with his Ethiopian counterpart Ristu Yirdewand and Somali deputy of Youth and Sports Minister Ahmad Omar on boosting cooperation.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum (WYF), held in Sharm el Sheikh on November 4-10 under the auspice of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Abdelaziz extended invitations to host a number of youth delegations in the coming period in addition to provide training camps for Ethiopian national teams at the Egyptian sports facilities.

Yirdewand expressed his desire to benefit from the Egyptian experience in the domain of youth and sports, and enhancing bilateral ties.

He also congratulated Abdelaziz on Egypt's national qualification for the World Cup 2018.
