BEIRUT– 8 November 2017: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said the Lebanese government is still in charge and all ministers are carrying out their duties.

In statements on Wednesday, Berri said parliamentary elections will be held as scheduled and there is no need for a government meeting in this regard.

He said his meeting with President Michel Aoun was very good, noting that the meeting aimed at protecting stability and maintaining the security of the country.

As per Prime Minister Saad al Hariri's resignation, Berri said this issue will be settled by the president when he meets with Hariri and listens to his viewpoints.
