CAIRO – 31 October 2017: Libyan National Army commander Khalifa Haftar issued a decree on Tuesday banning the import of any four-wheel-drive vehicles for any entity or individuals inside Libya without license from the Libyan army.
The General Command of the Libyan Military Forces stressed in a statement that it is necessary to know the suppliers of four-wheel-drive vehicles and the purposes of use inside Libya.

This decree came as a part of Libya’s measures in confronting terrorist groups that threaten Libya and the whole region.

Libyan army spokesman Ahmed al-Mesmari accused Qatar on Monday of smuggling terrorists and armed groups affiliated with IS from Syria to the borders of Libya, Sudan and Egypt.

He affirmed in statements to media outlets that Doha is persisting on financing and aiding terrorism in his country, adding that all of the remaining elements of the Islamic State (IS), Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda groups are gathering again in Libya and planning to form a new alliance to spread within the region.

Mesmari also accused Qatar of smuggling terrorists not only to Libya, but also to Sudan and Egypt. "Doha eventually is going to lose, and it will pay for its stubbornness and support for terrorism,” he said.
