CAIRO – 14 October 2017: On the anniversary of Air Force Day, the commander of the Egyptian air force Younes Hamed Al-Masry, asserted that Egypt has been waging a fierce war for four years against terrorist entities supported by certain countries. Their aim was to overthrow the Egyptian state, according to army spokesperson Tamer El-Refai.

Masry confirmed that during the October 1973 war, Egyptian armed forces had set up a heroic epic. Army forces launched an airstrike against the enemy at the beginning of the war and the Egyptian soldiers continued fighting during the various stages of the war until October 14, 1973.

Masry said that they plan to carry out joint exercises with friendly countries and many countries seek to implement aerial exercises with Egypt.
