Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen urges Myanmar to work with neighboring Muslim-majority countries to tackle a refugee crisis - REUTERS

JEDDAH - 3 October 2017: Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmad Al Othaimeen has strongly condemned the shooting on an outdoor concert in Las Vegas city, the US, two days ago.

"This is an abhorrent crime against innocent civilians," he said in a statement of OIC.

Othaimeen reaffirmed the stance of the OIC against all forms of violence and terrorism, stressing that terrorism is not associated with a particular faith, race or nationality.

He highlighted the need of concerted efforts to combat terrorism at the local, regional and international levels.

He expressed condolences for the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
