Sisi urges need to accelerate development pace of healthcare

CAIRO - 1 October 2017: President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi stressed Sunday on the importance of accelerating the development pace of healthcare and insurance, as well as enhancing the services provided to citizens.

Sisi also highlighted the need to develop the financial and human capabilities of the health sector, as it is an important sector that directly affects the daily lives of citizens.

The president made these remarks in a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers.

In addition, Sisi pointed out that the new reform to the health system would represent an unprecedented leap in this sector.

He instructed the formation of a committee to evaluate and revise the new health system during its early stages of implementation to put recommendations if necessary to insure the efficiency of the new system.
