CAIRO - 14 September 2017: Counselor for Human Rights committee inside Egyptian Parliament Saed Abdel Hafiz denounced Qatari government’s withdrawal of the Qatari citizenship of Sheikh Talib Bin Muhammad Bin Lahoum Bin Shuraim and 54 others from his family and Al-Murrah tribe.

Abdel Hafiz said that Qatar is being ruled entirely by the powers of Tamim bin Hamid amid complete absence of other institutions such as the judiciary and the Parliament, thus the Qatari Emir was able to deprive citizens of their citizenships without any judicial call.

“Qatar is a lawless emirate, ruled by Tamim as if it is his private ranch”, said Abdel Hafiz, adding that the royal call was taken under no judicial supervision.
Qatar has stripped Al Murrah clan's senior leader of his citizenship and seized his assets.

The Qatari government's action to revoke the citizenship of chief of Al Murrah tribe, Talib bin Lahoom bin Shuraim, along with 50 people of his family and clan, has sparked widespread anger across GCC states.
