CAIRO – 13 September 2017: Another Egyptian pilgrim died on Wednesday in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia after performing Hajj, raising the number of Egyptian pilgrims who have died while performing Hajj this year to 91.

The 60-year-old Ali Mohamed Abdel Halim al-Sokkary from Cairo returned to Mecca after completing Hajj rituals, and was admitted to Al Noor Specialized Hospital, where he passed away while undergoing treatment, according to Egypt’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said the man had been suffering from health issues, but did not specify what those issues were.
