15 killed in trainer-microbus collision in Beni Suef

CAIRO – 12 September 2017: At least 15 people were killed and one was injured after a microbus slammed into a trailer loaded with bricks Tuesday morning at the Senor Tunnel in the governorate of Beni Suef, Eastern Desert road.

Nine ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident and transported the dead bodies to nearby hospitals.

Egypt is currently placed amongst the world’s top 10 countries due to the number of fatal road accidents occurring in it, with 25,500 people killed or injured due to road accidents in 2016, according to the World Health Organization.
