CAIRO – 7 September 2017: An Egyptian pilgrim died in Saudi Arabia Thursday, bringing the death toll to 67 deaths among Egyptian pilgrims, the Health and Population Ministry said.

The 66 year-old man, called Mohamed Ghareeb Badr Saad from Menoufia, died as a result of sudden cardiac arrest at Al-Nour Specialized Hospital in Mecca, said Dr. Ahmed al-Ansari, the head of the Hajj medical mission.

An emergency room of the medical mission in Mecca received a report of the death, Ansari pointed out.

Coordination with competent authorities is underway to extract death certificate, he added.
