The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned the Human Rights Watch (HRW) report on Egypt.

The HRW report which is full of fallacies is a new attempt to deliberately defame Egypt, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Zied said.

HRW has a known political agenda and biased attitudes that reflect the interests of the funding bodies and countries, he added.

The spokesman deprecated the attempts to deliberately defame the June 30 revolution and label it as “a coup against an elected president”.

Abu Zied expressed sorrow for circulating rumors and relying on undocumented testimonies by the organization that claims the right to defend freedoms and human rights across the world.

Earlier in the day, HRW said that there is a systematic torture inside detention facilities in Egypt.
