73,000 Rohingya cross into Bangladesh, UN says

NEW YORK - 4 Sepember 2017: The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said that thousands of Rohingya fleeing sectarian violence in Myanmar poured into Bangladesh.

Aid agencies estimate about 73,000 Rohingya fled into neighboring Bangladesh from Myanmar since violence erupted last week, SBS television network quoted regional spokeswoman for UNHCR Vivian Tan as saying on Sunday.
