CAIRO - 24 August 2017: Arab four countries will hand over a case report with evidence on Qatar's involvement in committing terrorist acts in the region to their western allies, French website, Intelligence Online reported on Tuesday.

Intelligence Online, which is specialized in covering diplomatic and intelligence agencies’ news said that it had gotten a hold of a new document about the Arab quartet’s intention to hand over a case report to their western allies containing evidence on Qatar’s involvement in committing terrorist acts in the region.

The document revealed that Qatar previously committed to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in 2013-2014 to stop financing and supporting terrorist groups, but it didn’t fulfill its commitments. Qatar’s policy of breaking promises shows to the world that its commitments and promises cannot be trusted.

The document also cited confessions of the Qatari intelligence officer, Hamad Ali Muhammad Ali Al-Hammadi that Qatar was behind the “fake” UAE social media accounts that aimed at creating rumors to disrupt the Gulf country. It also shows that Doha had previously given refuge to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks.

According to the website, this document will push France’s government to take a clear stance against Qatar as it shows Doha’s clear support of terrorism.

A statement made by Adam Zubin, a senior official at the U.S. Treasury Department which states, “Qatar has shown a lack of political will to implement anti-terrorist financing laws effectively;” was cited in the document to prove Qatar’s terrorism-financing.

By its completion, the document presented a list of Qatari banks, charitable organizations and governmental agencies that finance terrorist groups, most notably Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities and the government center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It also cited names of officials who were confirmed to be suspects of supporting terrorism.

Since June 5, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have turned on Qatar with a complete air and trade boycott over allegations of its support and sponsorship of terrorism. The Arab Quartet sent 13 demands to the tiny Gulf state to fulfill as a condition for the restoration of diplomatic ties.

What are the demands?

The list of demands included closing Al-Jazeera television channel, reducing ties to their regional adversary Iran, and the closing of a Turkish military base in Qatar.

The demands, handed to Qatar by mediator Kuwait also require that Qatar refrain from interfering in the four countries' domestic and foreign affairs and halt the practice of giving the Qatari nationality to citizens of the four countries, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The countries gave Doha 10 days to comply with their demands.

Doha didn’t meet the demands of Arab countries; instead it insisted on its provocative policy; enhancing its relations with Turkey and Iran.
