Takaful, Karama program pension paid to beneficiaries

CAIRO – 16 August 2017: Pension of the Takaful and arama (Solidarity and Dignity), program for August has been paid on Tuesday to 639,394 persons, Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali said on Wednesday.

The total of what was paid in one day recorded LE 321 million ($18.053 million) of the total number of 739 million beneficiaries of the program, which amounted to 1.739 million families, Wali added.

The minister stated that the Takaful and Karama program has extended to 27 governorates, noting that the government pays attention to Upper Egypt and the poor as they represent 60 percent of the program beneficiaries.

Wali said that Forsa program(Opportunity), launched by the Social and Solidarity Ministry to support Takaful and Karama program, aims at providing job vacancies to unemployed youth.
