CAIRO – 11 August 2017: Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Mustafa Madbouli announced on Friday that the ministry is gearing up to launch an advertising campaign to promote the sale of apartments and villas in the New Administrative Capital starting next week.

This is considered as the ministry’s first proposal to encourage citizens to move to the new capital city, the minister said, adding that the offered properties, which vary between villas and apartments, are of diverse sizes and designs.

The minister further confirmed that the units being offered are fully finished, underscoring that construction works are taking place at a rapid rate.

In a bid to make the city more transport-friendly, the government announced on Thursday the construction of a new electric train to link the new cities in eastern Cairo with the New Administrative Capital.

The New Administrative Capital is the government’s recent major project that spans over 700 square kilometers and is located between Cairo and the Red Sea. The new capital is set to accommodate seven million citizens upon its completion.
