CAIRO - 3 August 2017: Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram on Thursday voiced Egypt’s keenness on linking its expats with their homeland.

Makram said that Egyptian expats should maximize their contribution to development efforts and pump more investments into Egypt.

In a press statement, Makram expressed happiness for being invited to participate in the Diamond jubilee ceremony of Alexandria university.

She underlined the importance of this ceremony in such a critical time in which means of attracting Egyptian expats’ investments and enhancing their trust in the Egyptian economy have been tackled.

Egyptian expats should be aware of Egypt’s financial and investment environments to be encouraged to invest here, Makram added.

The minister will participate in ceremony of Alexandria university on August 17 in which Egyptian scientists and Alexandria university graduates Magdi Yacoub and Hesham El-Askary will be honored.

Magdi Yacoub is expected to reveal details about the news medical city for heart disease and scientific research that will be located in the western of the Nile in Aswan, statement added.

This medical city that will be operated by solar energy and will be built on 29 feddans comprising a new center for children and adults treatment was the first of recommendations issued by the National Conference for Egyptian Scientists and Expats that was held in Hurghada in December, statement cited.
