CAIRO – 11 April 2025: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly will make an inspection tour of the New Alamein City projects, Saturday, the Cabinet said in a statement on Friday.
Recently, Madbouly has been briefed on the latest developments regarding paying compensations to the original locals of Ras Al Hikma project, which locates near to the New Alamein City. He also was updated on the ongoing projects of constructing the “Shams Al-Hikma” area, the alternative housing site for these families.
Egypt signed a deal with the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company PJSC (ADQ) - the sovereign wealth fund of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi - to develop the Ras Al-Hikma city, with total investments of $35 billion, according to statements by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. The government expects the project to attract investments of up to $150 billion during its development, helping to provide millions of job opportunities and inject liquidity into the Egyptian economy.
Madbouly made an inspection tour Thursday of several services and development projects in Assiut Governorate. This visit also coincides with Assiut Governorate’s National Day celebrations, reflecting the Egyptian state's growing focus on the development of Upper Egypt.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing field visits across various sectors—health, education, utilities, sanitation, and more—as part of his broader effort to monitor progress, address implementation challenges, and ensure timely project completion for public benefit.
As part of the visit, Prime Minister Madbouly toured the Assiut Ophthalmology Hospital, where he inspected its ophthalmology research facility, which includes eye x-ray machine provided by the government. Another research room, established through community participation, was also visited.
