The meeting tackled the follow-up of the roadmap for the Greater Cairo Metro Line 6 project. The work plan of the project was signed between Egypt and France throughout the past period.
The project falls within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to expand the establishment of a network of green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly mass transportation means, and to complete the metro network to provide premium quality service to citizens.
The meeting took up updates of setting up Alstom industrial complex in Borg El Arab logistics and industrial zone.
The project will feature two factories on a 40-feddan site, with one dedicated to producing spare parts for Metro Line 6 and the other focused on cable manufacturing.
This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in Egypt’s transportation infrastructure, addressing the increasing demand for metro system components.
